Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Product Testing

EMI examines the unintentional generation of electromagnetic energy from the product under test that could affect nearby electronics or communication devices. EMI also examines the affect on the product under test from external sources of electromagnetic energy.

EMI identifies electromagnetic energy sources emitted from the electronic device under test in an effort to reduce potential interference to other equipment or communications, and to determine how susceptible the equipment under test may be to electromagnetic disturbances.

Radio Frequency (RF) Surveys

RF surveys can be performed over wide frequency ranges to determine RF ambient levels covering frequency ranges of interest at various locations of the designated testing area. Typical testing is to determine RF ambient levels over certain frequency ranges at various locations of the designated area.

RF Shield Room Shield Effectiveness Testing

RF shield effectiveness testing of shield rooms is performed to assure that a certain level of radio frequency (RF) signal reduction is attained.

RF Shield Room or Open Area Test Site (OATS) Volumetric Normalized Site Attenuation (VNSA) Evaluation

VNSA measurements are performed to determine the suitability of the test chamber or OATS for making RF radiated emissions measurements. Testing is performed as per ANSI C63.4 standard.
